Hey All -

Well here we are – 2 years, 10 songs, 104 pints of earl grey and 365 scones later. The first song from my collaboration with Paul Reiser … UnSung Hero. It really is incredible what you can do on the internet these days!

I had a conversation with a Mom who’s son was serving in Afghanistan and was so stunned and moved to hear her talking about how hard it is, not knowing where or how your loved one is and literally hoping they are going to come home alive and in one piece. The very thought of my own little girl being in harms way is just impossible to imagine. (Marley, my daughter, is actually the 4 year old blondie kiddie singing in the children’s chorus at the end of the UnSung Hero video. Suddenly the song came in to my head and I grabbed the phone to Paul and UnSung Hero came to life.

I was a big fan of Paul’s TV show “Mad About You” and was most tickled and delighted when it turned out he loved my songs and voice and suggested a collaboration. I’m not sure if you know but he’s a classically trained pianist! I have never laughed or eaten so much  during any recording session … which apparently is what happens when you work with a comedian. We became attached at the melancholic hip and have 9 more songs to share with you on November 9th – as that’s when our full length CD “Unusual Suspects” will be released all over the internet.

Paul and I (along with some of the guys who played on the record) have 2 gigs booked at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on December 7th & 8th. You can find out more information and buy tickets here <http://catalinajazzclub.com>.
